Betty Joyce Sparke (Mom) was the first of five children born to Milton Leo and Anith Arletta (Shaw) Sparke. Her siblings are/were Gary LeWayne (deceased), Debra Kathleen, Denise Joleen and her stillborn twin, Donna Jean. Betty grew up in Lewis, KS working along-side her Daddy in the wheat fields. She was active in 4-H, loved roller skating, an avid reader, and played the piano. Mom graduated from Lewis High School in 1958. Betty graduated from Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia ’62 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Mom faced her final days with Grace and Dignity. She is survived by her four kids, Sheila Ann McBride, Laura Kay Deen, Michael “Tony” Anton Mollohan, and Jon Alan Mollohan and her four grandkids, Manuel Earl McBride II, Patrick Mollohan, Ashley Laurel Deen and Lauren Brooke Deen. All of whom had a unique relationship with her in their own special ways.
