Beverly Jo Craft

Beverly was born in Kinsley, Kansas on July 30, 1931 to her parents, Joe and Rubie Craft. Her early years were spent in Kinsley where she graduated in 1949 from Kinsley High School.

 After attending Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, she had a few secretarial jobs in the Kinsley area including as private secretary to the head nurse of Larned State Hospital.

 When she earned her education degree from Wichita State University she became a kindergarten teacher. She taught in Hutchinson, Kansas and at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

 Returning to Kinsley she accepted the directorship of the library where she served many years. After retiring she enjoyed reading mystery novels, traveling, her cats, and visiting with friends and family.

 She belonged to Delta Kappa Gamma, the Eastern Star, United Methodist Women and served faithfully at the Kinsley United Methodist Church.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, grand parents, a cousin Bill Hatfield and other family members. Surviving are her sisters, Patricia and Dorothy Craft, her cousins, Curtis Brannam, Connie Skelton, Connie Hatfield, Carol Duran and many loved cousins and friends.

 Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on February 10, 2025 at the Kinsley United Methodist Church, burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley.

 Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church and the Kinsley Library in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley.
