Clutch Joseph Klenke, age 13, died on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Kinsley, KS. He was born on July 13, 2005, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Preston Klenke and Anastatia (Potts) Russell. Clutch was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Dodge City, Kansas. Survivors include one sister Alyssa Klenke of Kinsley, brother Carson Russell of Dodge City, Kansas, Christian Russell (Mary Kate) of Jacksonville, Florida, Austin Russell (Shellbie) of Aurora, Colorado and Kaleb Russell of Aurora, Colorado, Stepfather Marc Russell of Dodge City, Kansas. Grandparents Monica and Clarence Bounds of Wright, Kansas, Gary Klenke and Nancy Klenke of Kinsley, Kansas Paul and Karen Potts of Hutchinson, Kansas, Gerald and Veronica Russell of Iowa City, Iowa, Great Grandmothers Maxine Spence of McPherson, Kansas, and Miriam Komark of Spearville, Kansas, Niece Ila Joy Russell, Nephew Logan Russell, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Clutch had been a part of the Cub Scouts Pack 168 in Dodge City from 1st thru 6th grade earning his Webelos. During elementary school years he was in several indoor and outdoor soccer leagues at the YMCA and Sheridan in Dodge City as well as a receiver on the Comanche Middle School football team in Dodge City. He was first chair clarinet in the Dodge City Comanche Middle School band in the 6th and 7th grade. He was an excellent A-B student, gifted in building things and working puzzles, and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his family. He loved McChicken sandwiches, homemade slushies, and eating the corner brownie. He was always wanting to help others and will live on as an organ donor. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2:00pm at Kinsley United Methodist Church in Kinsley, Kansas with Dr. John Wolfe, presiding. Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Cemetery in Spearville, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Clutch Klenke memorial fund in care of McKillip Funeral home.
