Dale A. Delay, 81, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, KS. He was born on November 25, 1934 in Lewis, KS. the son of Floyd and Faye Bell Delay. A lifetime resident of Lewis, KS. he was an assistant manager for the Lewis Co-op and a Machinist & Programer for Cross Manufacturing in Lewis.
He was a Member of the Lewis Christian Church in Lewis and a US Army Veteran serving in France as a Teletype Operator.
On October 13, 1956 Dale married Helen Bernatzki. She survives.
Other survivors include: One son Joe & Jody Delay of Schaumburg, IL., Two Daughters; Leatrice & Mike DiLoreto of Longmont, CO., Dawn & Devin Hutchins of Scott City, KS., Two Brothers; Duane Delay of Lincoln, NE., Robert & Norma Delay of Lewis, KS., Two Sisters; Shirley Strassburg of Lewis, KS., Sheryl & Carl Fankhauser of Lewis, KS., Eight Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, one Brother-in-law and one Sister-in-law
Memorial services will be held at the Lewis Christian Church in Lewis, KS. at 10:30am on Saturday, December 5, 2015 with Rev. Bill Stapleton presiding.
Memorial may be given to Kinsley Pride, Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City in care of the funeral home.
