Jerry Lee Kirk, age 78, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020, at his place of work. Jerry was born July 4, 1942 in Leoti, Kansas the son of Margaret Laverne (Lane) Kirk who passed away on March 2, 2011 and James Eugene Kirk, who passed away on November 20, 1981.

Jerry was a lifetime resident of Kinsley and Leoti, Kansas. He was the hardest working man in Kansas. At an early age, he drove combines for his father, was a driver and did maintenance, owned a charter bus company, and later ran his own general contracting business. Jerry served in the Kansas National Guard.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle.

On May 29, 1972, he married Peggy Robinson at Dodge City, Kansas. Jerry's surviving family includes his wife Peggy Kirk, a son Eric Kirk, and a daughter Tammy Kirk all of Kinsley, Kansas. Jerry's nieces and nephews include Christina V. Kirk of Sacramento, California; Cody Kirk of Kelso, Washington; Kenna Sue Kirk Cuarenta of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Leann Pyzer of Hidden Valley Lake, California; and Zachary Kirk of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Jerry's brothers Dennis G. Kirk in 1983, Rex Allen Kirk in 1986, Curtis Earl Kirk in 2009 and James Leroy Kirk in 2012 all preceded him in death.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at McKillip Memorial Chapel in Kinsley, Kansas. Memorial may be given to the Humane Society.
