Joseph Elihu Jackson

Joseph Elihu Jackson, Sr., 86, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Aperion Lincoln Nursing Home of Evansville, Indiana.

He was born on February 26, 1938, to Paul and Ester Jackson in Chicago, Illinois. He married Linda R. Turner on August 23, 1969, in Kinsley, Kansas. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2011.

Joseph is survived by his children; son Joseph Jr. (Sheila) of Hays, Kansas, daughters Peggy Hubbard of Ellis, Kansas, and Debbie Denton (Chad) of Erin, Tennessee, his grandchildren; Joseph III, Tiffany (Cody), Dennis (Angie), Madison (Keyava'), Abbygail Liberty, Lynnette (Shawn), Harold, Sierra, Cayden, and Ashton, and his great grandchildren; Christian, Alexander, Emily, Sophia, and Bentley, and by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Joseph will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving father, an avid bingo player with his wife, a fan of Chicago Cubs baseball, western and war movies, a proud patriot and a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, one brother, and one son-in-law.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Hillside Cemetery in Kinsley, Kansas.
