She was born February 19, 1941 in Dodge City Kansas the daughter of Edward and Angeline (Schinstock) Bogner. Upon filing for social security benefits she discovered the state said her birthday was February 20th. From then forward we celebrated her birthday two days in a row.

After graduation she worked for a Savings & Loan in Dodge City until marrying Richard Dockendorf of Kinsley Kansas on August 10, 1961.

She went back to work when the kids were junior high age at Fox’s Department store and then to Investor’s Savings & Loan.
