Her doctor told her in later life she would have a lot of health problems. But that did not slow her
down at all. She got a divorce and moved to Kansas City and worked for the telephone company.
There she was a switch board operator. She later transferred to Pennsylvania. And she decided
that it was to cold there. She then transferred to Santa Ana, California in the early sixties. She
retired from the telephone company. She worked as a waitress and bartender. Until she got ajob
with Tenco Oil Company. She was able to travel to Canada, Mexico and to Europe.

Then in the early seventies to moved back to Liberal, Kansas. She started to work for Pete Craig as
his bookkeeper and manager of the freight company. After the freight company was sold in

1985 she moved to Kinsley to help her sister take care of there mother. She worked in the dietary
department as a cook for Medicalodge in Kinsley. She also would had other jobs as a waitress and
bartender.

She retired at the age of62 due to health problem. She also helped take care of her brother-in-law
Lanes, when he became ilL She would go visiting in the neighborhood to give a helping hand
when needed. She loved children of all ages. We had the best oftimes together. We would took
several vacations together and one was to Humble, TX. To visit our brother Larry and that was the
best vacation the three of us had together. Then we would take little day trips and go see things.
Or we would take a week end and go off. People would ask me is that your mother and I would
laugh and say no she is my sister and best friend.

When her health started to decline and some one would ask her how she was doing. She would
say some days feel pretty good and other days feel frumpy. She never complained how she felt.

She alwasy looked forward to getting our weekly phone calls from Larry. And as Larry would say
she did most of the talking and you just said yes. She was always there for us when we needed her.
Now she will watch over us. She will be missed by her family and extended family and friends.

So rest is peace Sissy and we will Love You Always.
