Leonard L “Jack” Lancaster
Leonard Leon Lancaster, age 95, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday October 27, 2018 in Fayetteville. He was born May 29, 1923 in Kinsley, Kansas the son of Frederick P and Emma C Dolechek Lancaster. He is survived by his wife Rita Lancaster; a daughter Cathy Long of Fayetteville; two sisters Luetta Katz and Emily White and husband Jay and sister-in-law Alice Lancaster all of Kansas; one brother Marvin Lancaster of Colorado; three grandchildren T.J. Barnes and Darick Barnes of Arkansas and Jon Long of Kansas; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Virginia Welsh, Vivian Feldman and JoEllen Craft and two brothers Fred Lancaster, Jr. and Lanes Lancaster.
Jack was a WWII Veteran in the US Army from 1943 to 1946 serving in France, Germany and Belgium while overseas. He and his wife, Rita, while being successful in several business ventures were most popular for their management of dinner clubs for numerous country clubs in Kansas until returning home to Kinsley to own and operate The Cedars.
Services for Jack will be held Saturday, Novermber 3 at 3:00 pm at McKillip Memorial Chapel in Kinsley, Kansas, with Dr. Galen Boehme presiding.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic School Panther Athletics, 1722 N Starr Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701
