Mabel Herrmann Overstreet, 93, of Offerle, KS. Died January 3, 2015 at South Wind Hospice House in Pratt, KS. Mabel was born August 13, 1921 in rural Ford County to Paul and Gladys (Young) Herrmann. She married Thomas E. Overstreet on December 16, 1944 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He preceded her in death. She was a lifetime resident of Offerle, KS, and a Registered Nurse since 1942.
Survivors include two sons; Paul T. Overstreet and wife Nancy of Maize, KS. and Larry S. Overstreet and wife Carol of Montezuma, KS.; and two daughters; Nancy L. Page of Memphis, TN.; and Terry E. Wehkamp and husband Ted of Garden City, KS.; One Sister Pauline Lightcap of Spearville, KS.; a nephew Mike McAvoy of Offerle, KS.; a niece Patty McAvoy of Wichita, KS.; 8 Grand children, and 4 Great grand children. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Betty L. McAvoy.
Funeral Services will be held at McKillip Memorial Chapel, Kinsley, KS at 10:30am on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, with Galen Boehme presiding. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Offerle, KS. Memorials are suggested to South Wind Hospice or to Edwards County Hospital Auxiliary in care of the funeral home.
