Marlene L. (Fulls) Ryder, 88, passed away November 23, 2024 at her home in Offerle, surrounded by family. She was born June 20th, 1936 in Spearville, KS the daughter of William and Helen (Kurth) Leith.
She was raised on the family farm south of Offerle and graduated Offerle High School in 1954.
In 1955 she married Robert Fulls, they were married for 18 years. On November 17th, 2010, she married Charles F. Ryder.
She is survived by husband, Charles. Children, Rebecca (Don) Wilson, Dallas (Marion) Fulls, Chance (Anna) Fulls all of Offerle, Desra (Roger) Roy, of Stockton, Heath (Jena Velharticky) Fulls and Jason Cornelius both of Kinsley and stepdaughter Cheryl Holton of Abilene. Twenty-one grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by siblings; Larry Leith of Offerle, Roger Leith of Wichita and Lana Leith Mederos of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Tally Ann, son William Fulls and daughter Rachel Schroth.
In addition to raising her own children from Texas to Colorado and back home to Kansas, she owned and operated a homebased daycare for many years and was proud of all the children who came unto her care throughout the years.
Marlene and Chuck enjoyed camping and traveling, having visited Hawaii (twice) and Alaska, along with many other destinations.
Service will be at 10:30 AM December 7th, 2024 at the Offerle Community Church in Offerle, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Marlene’s honor to Edwards County Child Care Committee.
