Mary Louise (Slentz) Tiemann

Mary L. Tiemann, 84, from Lewis KS. Passed December 4, 2017 at Hays Medical Center. Mary was born and raised on the family farm outside of Lewis. She is a 1952 graduate of Lewis High School and a 1956 graduate of K-State. She married Floyd Tiemann in August 1956 and followed Floyd in his military career settling in El Paso, Texas. Mary took on a career as a home economics teacher retiring in 1999. Mary and Floyd moved back to Kansas settling in Lewis. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father Daisy and Harle Slentz, her sister Caren Wolac, and her husband Floyd Tiemann. She is survived by son Douglas and wife Patty Tiemann from El Paso, TX, son Eric and wife Marsha Tiemann from Lewis, KS, son Kirk and wife Gabi Tiemann from Lubbock ,TX, grand daughter Kala Tiemann from Gardner, KS, grandson Austin Tiemann from Hays, KS, grandson Jerod and wife Kristen Tiemann from Lewis, KS, grandson Zachary Tiemann from Lubbock, Tx, grandson Matthew Tiemann Lubbock, Tx, and great grand daughter Amy Tiemann Lewis, KS. Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 2:30pm at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Belpre, KS.  Memorials may be given to the Lewis Library in care of McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley.
