Nancy C. Dimmick, 81 of Hays, (formerly of Kinsley), died Saturday, September 24th at Willow House in Hays.
She was born December 29, 1934 in Kinsley, Kansas to Hubert Doak Ellis and Elizabeth(Proberts) Roepka.
She married Richard G. Dimmick on July 8, 1952 in DeMoines, NM. He preceded her in death. She was a nurse aide at the Edwards County Hospital in Kinsley for 32 years. She loved spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, traveling, playing bingo, and her pet dogs.
She is survived by daughters; Doris Rack and husband Donald, Hays, and Julie Strecker and husband Bernard, Wichita, sons; Mark Dimmick and wife Linda, Wichita, and Rod Dimmick, Cimarron, sisters; Naomi Cramer, Kinsley, and Emma McLaughlin and husband Pete , Castle Dale, Utah., grandchildren, Brandon Dimmick (Kari), Brady Dimmick (LeAnne), Bryan Grauerholz (Bonnie), Scott Grauerholz, Lisa Jia (Xuan), Lance Rack, Christi), Adam Rack, Jared Strecker (Beth), Justin Strecker, Stephanie Borden, Great Grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb, Brooke, Bree, Adaleigh, Karah, Evan, Lexi, Kennedy, Declan, Rilee, AJ, Kiersten, Trinity and Brayden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Betty Haskell and Bonnie Bradbury.
Graveside services in Trotter Cemetery, Lewis, KS at 11:00am on Saturday, October 1, 2016 with Pastor Bill Stapleton presiding. McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley, KS. Is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the VFW Auxillary, Kinsley, or the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
