Nancy (Etling) Weidenheimer

Nancy Etling Weidenheimer, 88, was born September 23, 1931 to John and Margaret Etling, in Kinsley, Kansas. She died August 5, 2020. A graduate of Kinsley High School, she attended Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri and the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS.

She was a member of Chapter CQ PEO, and the Kinsley Episcopal Church. Nancy has been known for her extremely keen bridge playing skills and her love for beautiful clothing and accessories. Also, Nancy did her part in the Weidenheimer Market by putting up a Cook of the Week Display. This was a popular feature in the store. Nancy drew amusement from others by creatively calling dad’s name making three syllables out of B-O-B.

She married Bob Weidenheimer on October 14, 1951.

Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents, her youngest sister, Mary DeWerff, a daughter, Beth Molitor November 1981, and her husband, Bob, November 14, 2019.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Moore (D), Council Grove, Ks, sister Susan Roenbaugh (Jake) Kinsley, KS, grandson, Russell Moore (Amy), Alta Vista, KS., granddaughter, Julie Noeth (Byron), Ramona, KS and three great grandchildren, Clara Noeth, Rhett Noeth, Ramona, KS and Lexi Todd, Alta Vista, KS.

Nancy and Bob requested that they both be cremated and placed in the same urn. That will be the case. A graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery on August 10, at 1:30.

In lieu of flowers or plants, Memorial contributions may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Holy Nativity, Kinsley, c/o McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley, Kansas, or to the Kinsley Library, Kinsley, KS.
