Pauline Lightcap, died August 26, 2016 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. Pauline was born on August 20, 1919 to Paul and Gladys (Young) Herrmann in rural Ford County. Pauline grew up on Mule Head Hill in Ford County and attended Shady Grove Grade School, Spearville High School, and Halstead School of Nursing. On September 3, 1941 she married Leander Lightcap in Hutchinson, KS., he preceded her in death. She enjoyed traveling and went on several cruises, Pauline and Leander spent their 50th anniversary on a Caribbean cruise and their 60th anniversary visiting with family and friends. Pauline also celebrated her 90th birthday on a Caribbean cruise. Survivors include; two sons Dee and Lyle Lightcap both of Kinsley, KS., two daughters Linda Stegman of Offerle, KS. and Kim VanNahmen of Offerle, KS. 8 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be held at McKillip Memorial Chapel in Kinsley on Monday August 29, from 9am to 7pm. Services will be heldat 2pm Tuesday, August 30 at McKillip Memorial Chapel with Galen Boehme presiding. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Offerle, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Offerle Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
