Richard Anthony Habiger, 65, died March 1, 2017, in Kinsley, KS. He was born May 17, 1951, in Spearville, KS, the son of Joseph and Geraldine (Dockendorf) Habiger. Richard was an electrician/plumber by trade, but he was also involved in farming, shrimping, boiler making and trucking. Richard was always thinking of others before himself. His motto for life was "The main thing is to maintain". Richard is survived by his mother, Geraldine; a son Kyle (Melinda) Habiger of Kinsley; two daughters, Lanette (Lance) Stegman of Pratt and Kristin (Stacey) Wolf of Texas City, TX; Eight grandchildren, Haley and Konner Habiger, Bryce, Tyler and Ayden Stegman, Alexis Habiger, Colt Cadajas and Dessa Wolf; and, one great grandson Michael Romero. Five brothers, Duane (Tammy), Mike (Deanna), Steve (Barbara), Rodney (Jill) Habiger of Kinsley, John of Augusta. Five sisters, Jolene (Larry) Tasset of Spearville, Beverly Raymond of Snellville, GA, Joyce Guffey of Overbrook, Marge (Matt) Schmidt of Kinsley, and, Sharon (Scott) Bowman of Jetmore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews which he referred to as "kiddos". He was preceded in death by his father. Vigil will be at 7:30 P.M., Friday, March 3, 2017, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Kinsley. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Church with Father John Strasser presiding. Burial following in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, North Kinsley.
