Rodena Renee Hirsh

Rodena Renee Hirsh passed away December, 9th peacefully in her home, in Kinsley, KS. Born September 19, 1959 in Kinsley to her parents Darlene Martin and Quentin “Bud” Matthews. She was the youngest of 5. 

Renee married David Hirsh in 1980 and they had 3 children. 

Renee loved cooking, puzzles, horseback riding, traveling (Hawaii was her favorite destination), thrift store shopping and tending to her many plants. 

Renee is survived by her children Davina (Kyle) Tweedy, Amber (Casey) Burkitt and Joshua Hirsh. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, her siblings Richard (Jeanette) Matthews, Rita Williamson, Ron Matthews, Rhonda (Rod) Allen, step-sister Becky (Danny) Schaller and a great circle of family and friends. 

Renee’s celebration of life will be held February 15, 2025 in Kinsley, KS at the 4-H building from 12pm-2pm.In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Edwards County Healthcare Foundation.
