Tanner Dean Schinstock
March 19, 1992 – December 16th, 2020
He graduated early from Dodge City High School in 2010. He married Elizabeth McCrorie on May 30th, 2014. They had one son, William Schinstock on April 16th, 2016.
Tanner was employed as a mechanic for Lewis Chevrolet before going to work for his Grandfather on the McClaren farm.
He was a loving husband and father, his time at home with his family being the most precious part of each day. He was the calm voice of reason among all our noise. He was selfless, always willing to lend a hand whether it be to friends or complete strangers. He was artistic. A self-taught blacksmith, he loved working with metal creating hand-made knives, swords, tools, or other amazing things. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and gaming.
He is survived by his wife and son, Elizabeth and William Schinstock; his parents, Tammy and Andy West; his brother Tedman Schinstock and his wife Anna; Step Sister Callie West, his nieces and nephew Natashia, Tedman, and Olivia Schinstock; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
“A great craftsman is only as good as his imagination, well, and the tools that he uses…. I need a bandsaw” - Tanner. Skal! Valhalla awaits!
A memorial service for Tanner will be held at the McKillip Memorial Funeral Home in Kinsley, KS on December 29th, 2020 at 2:00pm. Cremation has already taken place.
